Before You Decide to Give Up Weight Loss, Read This…

I’m writing this article just to show you a healthy lifestyle that is easier and much more attainable than you imagined.

I can make it, and so can you.

My own weight-loss journey began the summer before I started ninth grade but one that finally succeeded is when I started intermittent fasting that helps me drop 98lbs in recent years.

Weight loss was difficult for me. Whenever I tried a way to lose weight and it failed to work on me, I was definitely in a cycle of blaming my parents and genetics. I realized then that I have obese genes and a family that’s obsessed with food, I don’t love many vegetables, and there are always so many cookies in my house and long Shabbat dinners – I have a lot working against me.

Do you think that I did? If so, I’m totally sure you’re using a “perfect” excuse. In fact, it never works if you’d like to drop pounds. It’s 100% difficult to lose weight, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

I depend on intermittent fasting not because intermittent fasting is popular (though it truly is), but because it is simple, sensible, and sustainable for weight loss.

My weight is not gained in one day, but through 20 years of bad habits in food and lifestyle. I admit it’s extremely difficult to change what I like eating and I would rather not change. Food makes me happy. That’s the top reason why I choose intermittent fasting. I don’t need to give up what I’ve used to eating.

Intermittent fasting calls for the rescheduling of your 24 hours a day. A clear line should be drawn to separate an eating window and a fasting window.

To let myself not miss the right time to kickstart eating or fasting, I use Soon as an intermittent fasting tracker on my phone. Before fasting or eating, I’m usually notified on time so that I’m able to fully prepare physically and mentally.

Moreover, the Soon coach also instructs me on how to better do intermittent fasting. For example, she tells me about tricks to stay hungry during the fasting window, what to eat to keep fuller and healthy during the eating window, etc. Moreover, I can also get mouth-watering recipes from Soon. If I had stayed in a silo just researching weight loss and trying to apply it to myself, I would never have been as successful.

Therefore, don’t be afraid to share your issues with others, and don’t be ashamed to let others know you’re trying to lose weight.
