Start from Baby Steps in My Intermittent Fasting Journey

I’m Turner and I decided to kickstart intermittent fasting the year after I graduated from high school.

Then, my weight reached 360 pounds and my BMI was 34 (then I knew little about the meaning of the number). I never linked being overweight to health, but it just made me feel embarrassed especially when I went to the clothes stores. I expected to go to more parties as I entered college and I believed it was time to change how I look.

Where to start, then?

I think I have to be able, to be honest with myself. When it comes to my diet, binge eating is my problem and fast food is my favorite. Nutrition never occurred in my meals before I decided to lose weight.

And, I hate exercise, so much! I thought it stupid to stay at a gym.

I picked up intermittent fasting simply because it doesn’t call for exercise and sets no limitations on the food. I can still eat what I love and don’t need to take extra time in the gym.

I started with a 14:10 plan and cut my snacks. I could eat as much as possible during a meal. To get better results quickly, I started cooking my own food. I never believed I had talent in cooking that changed my attitude towards food. Gradually, my binge eating went down, and I constantly focused on nutrition intake. I followed the meal plans on SoonFasting so that I could cook different food that had been never on my food list.

Moreover, no one can believe I also keep going to the gym with one of my friends five days a week. Whenever there’s a possible trend to look new, you’ll follow the route to make it true.

Up to now, my weight is 190 lbs, and feel so energetic and active.

If you want to change, you have to just do it. Take the steps – even if they’re baby steps.
